As a Pharmacy Technician II, you'll work alongside pharmacists and interdisciplinary teams to support medication distribution, inventory management, sterile compounding, and pharmacy operations that directly impact patient care.   • II, you will: Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, dispensing, and distribution. Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications using proper aseptic techniques, including support for chemotherapy preparation when applicable. Operate and maintain automated medication dispensing systems. Support medication procurement and inventory management activities. Maintain compliance with USP <797> standards and other regulatory requirements. Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of medications. Complete assigned special projects and support departmental initiatives. Train and mentor new pharmacy technicians as needed. Provide advanced technical support within specialized practice areas based on departmental needs, such as medication history acquisition. Operate pharmacy equipment and technology while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Participate in departmental meetings, mandatory education, and continuing professional development. Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting Orlando Health's mission of excellence in patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Greater than one (1) year and up to four (4) years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician. Current Pharmacy Technician registration with the Florida Board of Pharmacy. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Hospital or health system pharmacy experience. Experience with sterile compounding and USP <797> practices. Familiarity with automated dispensing cabinets and pharmacy technology systems. Knowledge of medication inventory management and procurement. Experience training or mentoring pharmacy technicians. Why Orlando Health? Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and between one and four years of pharmacy technician experience. A current Florida Board of Pharmacy registration is required, along with strong organizational and communication skills.
