About the role

The incumbent is responsible for providing direct patient care in a neuropsychiatry unit. They will carry out individualized treatment plans established for each patient.

Your Role on the Team

Position Summary

Incumbent is responsible for providing patient care in an assigned neuropsychiatry unit by carrying out individualized treatment plans that have been established for each patient.

Required Qualifications

Preventative Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) within 30 days of hire Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Minimum 1 year experience as a Psychiatric Technician Knowledge of psychotropic medications and affects Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Demonstrated ability to apply logic and reasoning to identify when something is wrong or likely to go wrong, as well as alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to situations Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience working in a mental health clinical setting, with the mentally ill Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Licenses and Certifications: Psychiatric Technician Basic Life Support

Candidates must have at least one year of experience as a Psychiatric Technician and possess knowledge of psychotropic medications. A valid Psychiatric Technician license and Basic Life Support certification are required.
