Job Description

1.Codes and abstracts inpatient accounts on a daily basis using computer generated work ques. 2.Competent in coding of Inpatient Records and assigning appropriate DRGs. 3.Populates correct discharge disposition. 4.Generated physician queries for incomplete documentation. 5.Works directly with CDI on coding coordination with coding assignment. 6.Knowledgeable in Coding Clinics and Inpatient Coding Guidelines. 3 years in coding and/or abstracting Careers At Scotland Health Care System, we’re proud to employ a team of dedicated professionals who embody the Scotland Way. Requirements

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in coding and/or abstracting. An AHIMA or AAPC inpatient certification is required for this role.
