The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality professional healthcare, including patient assessments, care planning, and medication administration. They must also respond to emergencies, educate patients and families, and maintain accurate documentation within the unit.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to work in our Progressive Care Unit.
Full Time - 36hours per week
Schedule: Nights, 6pm-6:30am
The registered nurse is responsible for providing high quality professional health care to patients for all age groups cared for in the unit.

1. Providing timely and appropriate assessments of patient condition.
2. The plan of care is formulated timely and addresses all of the patient’s problems and interventions are appropriate for the patient's condition.
3. Recognizes emergencies promptly and responds in an appropriate manner.
4. Takes responsibility for crash cart readiness, department readiness and is proficient in emergency procedures.
5. Administers medications & IV’s timely and accurately.
6. Performs treatments & procedures skillfully and on time as appropriate to the unit.
7. Educates patients & families, delivers the information on an appropriate level to the individual. Information is complete & documented.
8. Applies knowledge of National Patient Safety Goals.
9. Assures that hourly rounding and assessing is completed.
identifies patients at risk, communicates risks to other caregivers, reports all falls.
11. Engages in infection control practices and demonstrates knowledge of isolation procedures.
12. Documentation is timely and accurately reflects patient condition and progress.
13. Practices within ethical, regulatory and legal guidelines.
14. Familiarity with the electronic documentation system and using it effectively and efficiently.
15. Treats patients/families as guests. Respects privacy and confidentiality of patients.
16. Maintains professional appearance and demeanor.
17. Creates a positive learning environment for students and new team members.
18. Attends department meetings, inservice programs and continuing education classes.
19. Demonstrates a willingness to learn and apply new knowledge. Holds self to high standards to deliver to the best of his/her abilities.

Required Education and Experience
1. Possess current hospital experience (within 5 years) or be a new nursing graduate (within 2 years). Prefer at least 1 year of experience in hospital clinical nursing. Possess a service orientation.
1. State of Illinois RN license that’s active and in good standing.
2. CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
3. ACLS within one year of hire.
4. PALS within one year of hire.
Iroquois Memorial Hospital is a 25 bed hospital located in Watseka, Illinois.
The hospital facility is comprised of clinical and diagnostic services which are dedicated to providing high quality health care services to the community.
These services include but are not limited to an Emergency Room, full service OR suites, an inpatient care unit, therapy services, advanced medical imaging, Home Health, and Hospice Care.
The hospital operates rural health clinics in Watseka, IL, Gilman, IL, Milford, IL, Saint Anne, IL and Kentland, IN.
The hospital also operates a skilled nursing facility, Iroquois Resident Home, which is attached to the hospital property.

Candidates must possess an active Illinois RN license and have hospital experience within the last 5 years or be a recent nursing graduate. CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required within specified timeframes after hire.
