Perform routine sonographic exams in inpatient and outpatient settings while maintaining high image quality and adhering to ALARA principles. Utilize specialized ultrasound equipment and hospital software to document patient information and contribute to departmental excellence.
Responsible for performing routine sonographic exams in either an inpatient and/or outpatient setting in accordance with established protocols for positioning, image quality, and ALARA principles. Utilizes a variety of specialized equipment to produce sonographic images, as well as computers and various software programs to enter patient related information into hospital databases. Contributes to the overall excellence of the department through commitment to personal excellence in technical and interpersonal skills.

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.” The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
St. Joseph’s University Medical Center is an academic tertiary care medical center and state designated trauma center, located on the Paterson campus, regularly accepts referrals of difficult or unusual cases from other hospitals and physicians and performs both complex and routine procedures.

Requires an Associate's degree in Ultrasound technology or a closely related field. Candidates must hold or obtain ARDMS or CCI certification within 12 months of hire.
