About the role

The Radiology Tech is responsible for arranging patients for radiological examinations and producing radiographs to assist in medical diagnoses. They must ensure patient safety by preventing unnecessary radiation exposure while working under the supervision of a manager.

Position Details

  • Full-Time Position
  • 4 x 10 hours shifts
  • 11:00am - 9:30pm
  • Radiology Tech credentials required
  • MRI, Mammography and Ultrasound credentials preferred but not required - CROSS TRAINING AVAILABLE

Qualifications

  • Arranges patients for radiological examinations
  • Produces radiographs (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems
  • Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Works under immediate supervision
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
  • Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree from an accredited program required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Registration as a technologist by the A.R.R.T. required
  • License to practice in the state of Kentucky is required
  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Experience preferred
  • MRI, Mammography and Ultrasound registration preferred but not required - Cross training available

Requirements

Candidates must hold an associate's degree from an accredited program and possess A.R.R.T. registration. A valid license to practice in the state of Kentucky is also required for this position.
