About the role

The Respiratory Therapist assesses patient respiratory status and recommends appropriate therapies under physician supervision. They are responsible for implementing prescribed treatments and evaluating patient responses to these interventions.

We are hiring for Respiratory Care Practitioner position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK!

Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, 12-hr Night shifts, 40 hours per week.

$10,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Under supervision the Respiratory Therapist provides services to patients at PAMC as prescribed by physicians in conjunction with established policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines. Responsible for the assessing the patient's respiratory status and recommending appropriate therapies. Implements therapies and evaluates patient response to therapeutic interventions.

Required Qualifications

  • National Registered Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory Care upon hire or,
  • National Certified Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory Care upon hire or,
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
  • 5 years - Experience in pediatrics respiratory therapy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
