The pharmacist is responsible for providing clinical and distributive pharmaceutical services to patients across various age groups. They must accurately perform duties, manage emergency requests, and collaborate effectively with the health-system and pharmacy staff.
To accept primary responsibility for the provision of clinical and distributive pharmaceutical services. EDUCATION: B.S. or PharmD. in Pharmacy, New Jersey Pharmacist license. EXPERIENCE: One year experience in hospital pharmacy preferred. Basic knowledge and experience with unit dose dispensing system and i.e. admixture programs. SPECIAL SKILLS: Basic understanding of computer operation. A general knowledge of clinical pharmacy skills and drug information practices. Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods. Ability to work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. Ability to set priorities and solve problems. Ability to respond quickly to emergency requests. Effective communication skills (orally and in writing). Ability to assist in meeting the pharmaceutical care needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
