The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound examinations on patients for pre and post-operative scanning within the vein centers. They also assist physicians during vein treatment procedures by providing scanning for vein access and treatment tracking.

Position Summary

The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist is involved in the day-to-day flow of the Charlotte Radiology Vein Centers. performing ultrasound examinations on all patients who present to the centers for pre and post op scanning. They work hand in hand with the physicians during the vein treatment procedures, providing scanning for vein access and treatment tracking. Essential

Duties and Responsibilities

Documentation of clinical history, evaluation and scanning using ultrasound technology to evaluate patient's venous system pre and post procedure Explain clinical details of scans and procedures to patients Evaluation of MD dictated reports post visit to ensure accuracy

Qualifications

Associate Degree/Junior College in Ultrasound RVT certification and CPR required 1-3 years’ experience in Radiology and Vascular Clinical details of procedures and scans performed within Vein Centers, and flow of vein treatments Medical Terminology Charlotte Radiology policies, procedure and guidelines Operation of ultrasound machines Knowledge of venous system, and appropriate scanning techniques to identify venous disease Excellent organization skills, close attention to detail Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Strong computer and technical skills Excellent customer service skills Travel Required (% of time): 0 – 25% Full day walking and standing Lifting 25-50lbs. Requirements

Candidates must hold an Associate Degree in Ultrasound and possess an RVT certification along with CPR certification. The role requires 1-3 years of experience in Radiology and Vascular settings, as well as proficiency in ultrasound technology and venous disease identification.
