We seek a dedicated and detail-oriented Surgical Assistant to join our dynamic team at Sonoma Oral Surgery & Dental Implants. In this role, you will support our oral surgeons critically, ensuring efficient workflow and delivering exceptional patient care throughout the surgical process. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient comfort and safety, with strong technical skills and a collaborative spirit.
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications: Current RDA license Valid California X-ray license Current BLS certification Takes pride in attention to detail Punctual and reliable on a daily basis Friendly and outgoing personality, with both patients and fellow staff Ability to commute and work in both Napa and Sonoma locations Minimum of 1 year dental assisting experience Qualifications not necessary but a plus: Previous oral surgery experience OMSA certificate Dental Anesthesia Assistant Permit (through Dental Board of CA) Emergency procedures - identification and treatment Familiar with dental/oral surgery software - DSN preferred Computer savvy, able to type 35 wpm Ability to read, speak, and write Spanish fluently and clearly Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Assisting in surgical procedures, both local and IV sedation Sterilization and tray set-ups Taking and monitoring vital signs/ patient recovery Knowledge of medical emergency protocol Assisting in consultations and post-ops Lab/ 3D printing work Organizing and restocking supplies and rooms as needed Other duties as needed shared amongst the assistants
