About the role

The Medical Assistant will perform clinical tasks, assist with front office duties, and maintain accurate patient chart documentation. They will collaborate with the healthcare team to identify patient needs and ensure efficient clinic flow.

Where You’ll Work St Anthony Summit Medical Center is a Level III Trauma Center serviced by Flight For Life® Colorado and nationally recognized for excellence in patient satisfaction.

We provide a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Summit County and the surrounding areas including Surgical, Emergency, Critical Care, Birth Center, Orthopedic, Breast Care, Digital Mammography, Radiology & Imaging, Infusion Therapy Nuclear Medicine, Cardiology, Oncology, Summit Sleep Disorders Center, Ear Nose and Throat (ENT), Gastroenterology and Total Joint Replacement.

In addition to 24/7, Level III emergency care at Summit Medical Center in Frisco, we hire seasonal employees for our three emergency mountain clinics at some of Colorado’s top destination ski resorts: Breckenridge, Copper Mountain and Keystone.

Job Summary and Responsibilities $400/month Summit County housing stipend available for full time residents of Summit, Park, Eagle, Grand, Clear Creek, Lake, and Chaffee Counties.

Must work at least 80% physically on-site at a CommonSpirit facility in Summit County and full time or part time status (PRN ineligible).

As our Medical Assistant, you will assume a crucial supportive role, collaborating with the healthcare team and patients/families to identify and meet their comprehensive needs while promoting optimal health, well-being, and safety.

Every day you will perform a variety of clinical tasks as directed by providers, potentially assist with front office duties, and meticulously maintain accurate chart documentation.

You will also participate in professional development, contributing actively to our high-valued MA team.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, our organizational mission, and core values.

Your commitment to patient care standards and growth within our MA Clinical Ladder, with competitive pay based on certification, will be key.

Assess patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data, and evaluate patient's response and report to the responsible provider to ensure optimal patient outcome.

Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic interventions including but not limited to vital signs, mini treatments/procedures, prevention services, previsit planning and postvisit follow up, medication refills per protocol for existing treatment plans and ensures patient flow through the clinic is efficient.

Contributes to the development and implementation of a patient plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team; determines presence/absence of barriers to active participation in the individualized care plan and ability to selfmanage their health conditions, with the purpose of planning patient care and care coordination.

Successful completion of all Medical Assistant Core Skills, as well as additional competencies which are specialty specific, as defined within the Scope of Practice for Medical Assistants.

Thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records, including importing and communication of scanned documents.

Document ongoing status, interventions, patient response and outcomes in an accurate, timely manner.

Job Requirements Required High School Diploma/G.E.D.

BLS through American Heart Association Preferred Certified or Registered Medical Assistant from recognized program One (1) year experience as a Medical Assistant or as an EMT Completion of Medical Assisting Program/Trade/Technical School Completion of EMT Program/Trade/Technical School Associates who have completed EMT training will need to complete required courses on pharmacology

Requirements

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D. and BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred qualifications include one year of experience as a Medical Assistant or EMT and completion of a relevant training program.
