About the role

The nurse delivers patient care by planning, implementing, and documenting nursing assessments while ensuring patient rights. They are responsible for identifying situations requiring intervention and communicating goal-directed care plans in accordance with hospital values.

Under general supervision, following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, delivers nursing care to patients. Plans and implements nursing care; documents nursing assessments; identifies and reports situations requiring further intervention; formulates and communicates goal-directed plan of care; assures patient rights. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital and principles of quality improvement. This role will require travel between Brooksville and Spring Hill.

Education Associate's Degree in Nursing License Registered Nurse Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross Unit specific certifications may be required. May include but not limited to: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) STROKE National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) STABLE

Requirements

Candidates must hold an Associate's Degree in Nursing and a valid Registered Nurse license. Required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), with additional unit-specific certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NIHSS potentially required.
