As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal conditions, working collaboratively with our healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care. You'll have the chance to engage with a diverse patient population while contributing to the efficiency of our medical practice and ensuring the well-being of our patients.
Conduct patient consultations and assessments in Gastroenterology Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal disorders Perform necessary procedures, such as endoscopies and biopsies Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care Maintain accurate and timely patient records Stay updated on the latest advancements in Gastroenterology Provide education and support to patients regarding their conditions
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board certification in Gastroenterology is preferred Residency training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology Experience providing patient-centered care in a medical practice setting Strong diagnostic and clinical skills in Gastroenterology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team Valid medical license to practice in the state of New York
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts
Setting: Inpatient
Patient Volume: 6-7 procedures per day
Duties: Rounding, inpatient consults, and performing ERCPs
Support Staff: APPs
EMR: MediTech
Must be board-certified
