The Certified Nursing Assistant provides basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. They assist with activities of daily living and monitor patients for changes in condition or vital signs.
Overview As a member of the health care team responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team or unit.
Assists patients with activities of daily living and helps to promote a safe, comfortable environment that fosters the physiological and psychosocial well-being of the patient. Notifies R.N. and/or L.V.N. of relevant changes in the patient’s condition including, but not limited to changes in V.S., level of consciousness and/or pain, breathing pattern, drainage, amount of bleeding, mood, or increase and decrease in capabilities/limitations.
Recent experience in an acute care setting preferred. Graduate from high school or its equivalent. Current CA C.N.A certification, BLS and MAB.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and hold a current California C.N.A certification. BLS and MAB certifications are also required, with preference given to those with acute care experience.
