UPMC Presbyterian is hiring a Casual MRI Technologist to support our dynamic team in Oakland!

In this flexible role, you’ll work varied shifts—daylight, evenings, weekends, and one holiday per year—with 8-, 10-, or 12-hour options between 6:30 a.m. and 11 p.m.

What You’ll Do Perform high-quality MRI exams following established protocols while ensuring patient safety.

Accurately identify patients, review physician orders, and document imaging data.

Administer contrast and prepare patients for exams while maintaining MR safety at all times.

Collaborate with technologists, physicians, and athletic specialists to deliver top-tier diagnostic imaging.

Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients to ensure understanding and comfort throughout each procedure.

Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT or ARDMS program. ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT within 6 months of hire date. MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired. CNMT, ARDMS and ARMRIT graduates must obtain MR registry within 12 months of hire date.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances

ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT within 6 months of hire date. MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired. CNMT, ARDMS and ARMRIT graduates must obtain MR registry within 12 months of hire date. CPR or BLS Required. ARRT Certificate OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) Act 34
