About the role

The Pathologist will sign out a diverse range of surgical pathology and cytopathology cases and perform intraoperative consultations. They will also participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and conduct rapid on-site evaluations for cytology.

Washington Permanente Medical Group (WPMG) is the clinician-led medical group that provides care exclusively for Kaiser Permanente members in Washington state. With over 1,300 clinicians across more than 30 specialties, WPMG is one of the largest and most respected multi-specialty practices in the Pacific Northwest.

Summary

Kaiser Permanente-Washington Permanente Medical Group is seeking a part-time (0.75 FTE) Pathologist to join our Capitol Hill Medical Center team in Seattle, Washington.

Responsibilities

  • Sign out a diverse range of surgical pathology and cytopathology cases.
  • Perform intraoperative consultations, including frozen sections, and cytology rapid on-site evaluations (ROSE).
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards.

Qualifications

  • Medical Degree MD/DO
  • All applicants must have or able to obtain an unrestricted Washington State Medical License.
  • Subspecialty expertise in gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary pathology or GI fellowship training is preferred
  • Ability to sign out cytopathology cases required.
  • Approximately 3–5 years of practice experience is ideal; recently trained fellows are encouraged to apply.

Salary Range

  • $399,760 to $470,306 (salary will be prorated based on FTE, new hire salaries will be based on factors such as education, training and experience)
