The Licensed Veterinary Technician will perform advanced clinical duties including echocardiograms, patient assessments, and history taking while facilitating communication between the clinical team and doctors. This role also involves supervising daily clinical operations and ensuring the delivery of compassionate, high-quality cardiac care.

The Animal Cardiology Center (TACC) is a new, purpose-built standalone Cardiology specialty provider in Westchester County. Under the leadership of board-certified veterinary cardiologists Dr. Justin Carlson & Dr. Kelly Flynn, our specialty team is at the forefront of cardiac care, combining cutting-edge diagnostics with compassionate, personalized treatment. At TACC, we’re not just redefining what’s possible in veterinary cardiology, we’re setting the standard. This is our second TACC location, and we're building it with the same focus that made our first a destination for exceptional patient outcomes, supportive and transparent team culture, and forward-thinking medicine. Join us in delivering world-class cardiac care with heart. We’re looking for a talented Licensed Veterinary Technician with an interest in specialty practice. What You’ll Do The Licensed Veterinary Technician at TACC is the beating heart of our practice. This role must be able to effectively lead and supervise by being organized, professional at all times, be an efficient communicator, and work well with veterinarians and other team members, both clinical and administrative. The position is essential in ensuring accurate, efficient and timely completion of daily clinical duties and responsibilities. The Tech also facilitates the flow of communication between doctors, the practice manager and clinical team members. This position also performs all of the duties of a licensed veterinary technician. In addition to traditional Veterinary Technician duties, you will participate in: Advanced history taking Advanced imaging, including Echocardiograms Conducting physical examinations and patient assessments Rounding with the doctor on cases using learned cardiology knowledge Providing consistently compassionate care for our patients Interested LVTs may have the opportunity to train under the Cardiologist and join the mobile TACC team. What We Require: Licensed in NY State 2+ years’ experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in GP, Emergency or Specialty Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Strong people and organizational skills Ability to resolve conflict Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited college or university Physical requirements of the job: Comfortable working with all types of animals Ability to lift 40lbs Capable of moving patients from carrier/floor to exam table Able to stand for extended periods of time

Requirements

Candidates must hold a valid New York State Veterinary Technician license and possess at least two years of experience in general, emergency, or specialty practice. Strong organizational, communication, and conflict resolution skills are required, along with the physical ability to handle animals and lift up to 40 pounds.
