Job Description

Experienced MRI Technologists and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. We look forward to reviewing your application and learning more about your qualifications. Shift Information: This schedule provides a consistent full-time workweek with a rotating weekend commitment. Full-time, 40 hours per week Two (2) twelve (12) hour shifts: 11:00am - 11:30pm Two (2) eight (8) hour shifts: 2:30pm - 11:00pm Weekend rotation required: Work every third weekend, consisting of Saturday and Sunday shifts from 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care. Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards. Apply professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges. Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met. Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening for contraindications and patient monitoring (as applicable). Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness. Identifies equipment performance issues and initiates follow-up through established service processes. Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies. Maintains accurate and timely documentation in medical record and image archive system, including exam set-up, image routing, result availability and charging accuracy. Adheres to organizational values, ethical standards, and compliance requirements. Consistently upholds all applicable quality and safety standards within diagnostic imaging, such as radiation safety, MRI safety, Infection prevention measures safe practices (as applicable to the role) to protect self, patients, visitors and team members Ensures a positive patient experience throughout care delivery Supports department initiatives to improve relationships, reliability, efficiency, growth Supports additional responsibilities aligned with patient care and department needs Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the MRI process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care. Performs MRI safety screening, including implant and foreign body evaluation, and ensures appropriate clearance prior to exposure to the magnetic field. Enforces controlled access and safe practices within the MRI environment. Produces diagnostic-quality MRI images using approved protocols and professional standards. Applies professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges. Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met. Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening, IV access when required, monitoring, and response to adverse events. Safe Operation of MRI equipment and maintains imaging room readiness. Identifies equipment performance issues and initiates follow-up through established service processes. Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies. Maintains accurate and timely documentation in EPIC and Visage, including exam set-up, image routing, result availability, and charging accuracy. Adheres to organizational values, ethical standards, certifications, and compliance requirements. #LI-AD1 #NMH1

Qualifications

Required Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) OR American Registry of MRI Technologist (ARMRIT) Basic Life Support (BLS)

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program and hold current ARRT (MRI) or ARMRIT certification. Additionally, a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required for this position.
