The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides person-centered home and community-based services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism enrolled in Pennsylvania ODP waivers. The DSP supports individuals in achieving greater independence, community participation, health, safety, and quality of life while implementing each person's Individual Support Plan (ISP).
Deliver services in accordance with the individual's ISP and agency policies.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, eating, and personal hygiene.
Assist with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), including meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, shopping, budgeting, transportation, and medication reminders as authorized.
Promote independence, skill development, community participation, and informed choice.
Ensure the health, safety, dignity, privacy, and rights of individuals receiving services.
Observe and report changes in health, behavior, or functional status.
Complete accurate and timely documentation, service notes, and Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) requirements.
Report incidents, suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, or rights violations according to ODP Incident Management requirements.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, ODP regulations, and Prestige Home Care LLC policies.
Attend required meetings, supervision, and training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED.
At least 18 years of age.
Ability to pass required criminal background checks and other clearances.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
Ability to complete required ODP and agency training.
Previous experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism is preferred but not required.

Services are provided in homes and community settings. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on participant needs.
Complete all required orientation and annual training, including person-centered practices, incident management, individual rights, HIPAA, abuse prevention, infection control, emergency preparedness, CPR/First Aid (if applicable), and other ODP and agency-required training.
