Veterinary Technician, General Practice

Provide compassionate nursing care and exceptional patient handling Obtain patient histories and collect vital signs Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters Administer medications via IV and other routes as prescribed Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, and treatments Perform accurate drug calculations Maintain detailed medical records and patient documentation Communicate clearly with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans Support hospital efficiency through teamwork and collaboration across departments Contribute to a positive, respectful, and supportive hospital culture Mentor and support fellow technicians and team members as needed

Qualifications

We’re looking for Veterinary Technicians who are passionate about patient care, teamwork, and continued professional growth. Qualified candidates will have: Experience working as a Veterinary Technician in a clinical setting Strong technical veterinary nursing skills Ability to perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement confidently Knowledge of medication administration and drug calculations Strong communication and client service skills A collaborative and team-oriented mindset Interest in continued learning and professional development Ability to work in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment CVT, RVT, or LVT credentials are welcomed but not required Fluent English speaking and reading skills required About Bulger Veterinary Hospital Bulger Veterinary Hospital is a multi-specialty and emergency veterinary hospital serving pets and families throughout Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire.
