About the role

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients in a Med-Surg unit in accordance with hospital policies and medical staff directives. The role involves direct and indirect patient care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

Position Summary

Renders professional nursing care to patients assigned in a Med-Surg unit, in support of medical care as directed by medical staff and pursuant to objectives and policies of the hospital. Work encompasses direct and indirect care patient care and collaboration with other disciplines involved in the provision of care.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing Minimum Experience: RN license with at least 1 year of experience on med-surg Required Certification: BLS, PALS, ACLS *
  • Required Licensure: Valid Texas RN license FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Salary Grade: *
  • Note – Required certifications are to be completed by 2 months of employment. #LI-NS1

Nacogdoches Medical Center has been serving the East Texas community for nearly 50 yearswith a focus on caring for patients and a strong team environment. Service lines at the hospital include obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology (including a cath lab and electrophysiology capabilities), cancer care, neuroscience (Brainlab technology and stroke treatments) and weight loss surgery. Requirements

Candidates must hold a valid Texas RN license and possess at least one year of experience in a Med-Surg setting. An Associate's degree or diploma in nursing is required, along with the ability to obtain BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications within two months of hire.
