About the role

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for developing and administering treatment programs to improve patient function and reduce pain. They must also establish diagnoses, create treatment goals, and maintain confidential patient records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Position Summary

Responsible for developing and administering occupational therapy treatment programs designed to improve function, reduce pain, prevent disabilities, and promote the overall health and well-being of our patients.

Essential functions

Provides treatment plans per the physician’s orders and by planning and carrying out an appropriate occupational therapy evaluation of the patient. Establishes an occupational therapy diagnosis, treatment plan and creates goals for the patient according to their evaluation. Maintains patient records confidentially in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Complies with the Pennsylvania State Occupational Therapy Act, codes, and regulations. Be willing to assist in other facilities as requested by the center manager.

Education/Experience

Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program. Current Pennsylvania Occupational therapy license or license eligible. Outpatient experience preferred, not required. CPR certification is required.

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and hold or be eligible for a Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy license. CPR certification is required, and outpatient experience is preferred.
