Sterile Processing Technician, Weekends - Paoli Hospital
The Sterile Processing Technician performs thorough decontamination and processing of reusable instrumentation and patient care equipment. They also conduct functional and safety inspections while maintaining compliance with departmental sanitation and infection control policies.

The Sterile Processing Tech performs complete and thorough decontamination, along with knowledge of processing of reusable instrumentation and patient care equipment.
Has knowledge of aseptic technique.
Performs functional and safety inspections, assembles, and disassembles orthopedic traction equipment and other equipment used in patient care areas.
Complies with departmental policies, abides by sanitation, safety, housekeeping and infection control.
Observes and reports any unusual conditions.
Participates in product recalls.
Provides effective and immediate response to customer requests.

Position: Sterile Processing Tech Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7AM - 7PM
Experience: Experience in instrument processing is preferred
High School Graduate or Equivalent A Sterile Processing program, successfully complete a nationally accredited central service exam for central service techs, and obtain full certification. Must complete 10 hours of qualifying continuing education annually.
Certified registered central service technician credential (CRCST) or certified sterile processing and distribution technician credential (CSPDT),
Candidates must be a high school graduate or equivalent and hold a CRCST or CSPDT certification. Experience in instrument processing is preferred, and the role requires completion of 10 hours of continuing education annually.
