About the role

The technologist is responsible for performing screening and diagnostic mammography, needle localizations, and stereotactic procedures. They must maintain high ethical standards while providing quality care to patients within the radiology department.

Position Summary

  • ***$7,500 Sign-On Bonus for eligible candidates**
  • The Mammographic Technologist II is a member of the mammography staff of Radiology Services. The technologist must be proficient in performing screening and diagnostic mammography, needle localizations, and stereotactic mammography as applicable. The mammographic technologist must maintain a high standard of ethics while providing quality patient care. Through proper credentialing, the technologist must be ARRT (M) registered with current certification. Minimum Requirements High school or equivalent (or higher) Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Registered Radiologic Technologist in Mammography is required. 2 years of experience as Mammography Technologist Clinical Ladder Pay Range $33.08 - $48.22

Starting pay in the Outer Banks Hospital/Outer Banks Medical Group market may be higher to reflect local market competitiveness.

Other Information Primary Shift: Day Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm On Call: No Weekends: No IMPORTANT: This position is listed as a Mammography Technologist II, but based on the minimum requirements that are met, the candidate of choice will be hired as a Mammography Technologist I, II, III or IV. #LI-NM1 ECU Health About The Outer Banks Hospital The Outer Banks Hospital is a full-service critical access hospital offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services.

The 21-bed facility is designed to meet the needs of the coastal community, whose year-round population of approximately 35,000 swells to about 350,000 in the summer season.

Its campus includes four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor & delivery suite with a dedicated caesarian section OR, a full rehabilitation therapy center, cancer treatment and radiation therapy center, and a 24-hour emergency department.

OBH is fully accredited, provides high quality care in a compassionate environment to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay, and has been nationally recognized for outstanding patient care.
