OR Scrub Technician
The OR Scrub Technician is responsible for scrubbing in on surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile field, and assisting the surgical team. They also manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment while adhering to safety and infection control policies.

This individual shall function as a member of the surgical team.
The Scrub Technician shall be responsible to set up assigned cases, maintain a sterile field, and count appropriate items with circulating nurse used during surgical cases.
This position requires an understanding of the principles of aseptic technique and sterilization.
Additionally, this individual shall perform a variety of tasks such as care of instruments, supplies, sutures, needles, and basic equipment, as well as stocking, cleaning, and inventory.
The Scrub Technician must know policies and procedures pertaining to duties and be able to fulfill verbal and written instructions.
This individual will strictly adhere to all OSHA guidelines, safety, and infection control policies.
This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Education/ Experience: High school graduate or equivalent required.
Hospital experience preferred in area of Surgical Services preferred.
License/Certification: CST preferred, BLS required
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a certified technician program or equivalent on-the-job training. A BLS certification is required, and CST certification is preferred.
