The Medication Technician is responsible for accurately administering medications according to physician orders and documenting them in the QuickMAR system. They also monitor residents for changes in condition and provide essential daily care while maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
Inlet Coastal Resort is seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Medication Technician to join our resident care team.
The Med Tech is responsible for administering medications accurately and on schedule while supporting residents’ overall safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a senior-living or memory-care environment.
Current medication technician certification or required South Carolina medication-administration credentials 3 years experience or more required Previous assisted living, memory care, long-term care, or senior-care experience required Experience using QuickMAR is preferred Strong attention to detail and medication-documentation skills Ability to recognize and promptly report changes in a resident’s condition Dependable transportation and a record of punctual, consistent attendance Strong communication and teamwork skills Experience caring for individuals living with dementia is preferred Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
Administer medications according to physician orders and community policies Accurately document medication administration in QuickMAR Maintain medication schedules and ensure medications are given on time Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and changes in condition Promptly report medication concerns, refusals, errors, or changes in condition to the nurse or appropriate supervisor Review medication records for accuracy and completeness Assist with medication inventory, storage, ordering, and disposal Follow infection-control practices and medication-management procedures Provide resident care and assistance with daily needs as required Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, caregivers, and other members of the care team Help maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment
Full Time 7pm-7am Weekend and holiday availability may be required based on the schedule. Consistent attendance, punctuality, and careful medication administration are essential requirements of this position.
