The RN Navigator will work with a multidisciplinary team to optimize care for urologic oncology patients by providing clinical assessments and patient advocacy. They are responsible for coordinating communication between patients, physicians, and ancillary departments while ensuring adherence to institutional policies.
This position will serve as a urologic oncology patient navigator that will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team of physicians, allied health providers and administrative support to optimize care and create and implement quality metrics for urologic oncology patients.
Primary duties include communications with patients, referring physicians as well as external radiology and pathology departments.
Registered nurse will possess knowledge and skills to provide care to patients in an ambulatory setting.
Will provide clinical nursing assessment, act as patient care advocate, and provide support, counseling, and education to patients.
Works in collaboration with other health care providers and ancillary services.
Directs clinical staff and maintains mandatory regulatory institutional policy and procedures under the direction of manager/medical director.
