The CT Technologist is responsible for performing CT scan examinations and providing high-quality patient care. They must also maintain equipment, manage patient records, and participate in departmental performance improvement programs.
Transfers patient to exam table; ensures proper covering of patient according to policy and procedure. Arranges, attaches, or adjusts immobilization and support devices according to procedure, ensuring limitation of patient movement. Assesses patients condition & determines proper breathing instructions (utilizing it properly), exposure factors. Demonstrates satisfactory positioning and equipment knowledge; consistently produces radiographs of diagnostic quality. Utilizes proper Radiation Safety with patient, self, and others. Performs related duties as required.
Required: Education: Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology school with an associate degree or equivalent or graduation within 6 months. Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: SCRQSA license is required for a current graduate. SCRQSA limited license is required for a student, must obtain SCRQSA permanent license within 6 months of employment. American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
