Synergy (a subsidiary of SBMF Rx) is seeking a dedicated and energetic pharmacist to join our team. In this vital role, you will float between two privately owned specialty pharmacies in San Antonio, providing expert pharmaceutical care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include safe medication dispensing, patient counseling, and clinical support. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes through personalized, high-quality care. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your pharmacy knowledge while contributing to community health and wellness.
Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently using pharmacy software systems, ensuring compliance with all legal and safety standards. Provide patient counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions to promote safe and effective treatment adherence. Manage inventory levels meticulously, including ordering supplies, verifying stock accuracy, and handling medication compounding when necessary. Maintain detailed records within electronic health record (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality. Support pharmacy technician staff by overseeing workflow, verifying prescriptions, and assisting in medication preparation processes.
Experience Completion of a pharmacy residency program or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience demonstrating advanced patient care skills. Hands-on experience with pharmacy software applications, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pharmacology essential for effective patient assessment and medication management. Experience working within HIPAA guidelines ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive patient information.
