One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our CT Tech, you will operate diagnostic equipment and perform a variety of technical diagnostic imaging procedures related to computed tomography.
You will provide critical patient orientation, procedure explanation, and essential pre and post-diagnostic care to ensure the successful completion of tests.Every day you will perform CT exams on patients according to specific departmental procedure protocols under the Medical Director's direction, ensuring all equipment is operational, safe, and functioning correctly.
You will facilitate patient understanding by reviewing physician orders, communicating with radiologists for proper exam protocols, and providing detailed diagnostic test information.To be successful in this role, you must possess the ability to independently perform complete diagnostic imaging tests, including patient positioning, equipment calibration, and documentation of findings under supervision.
You will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety, adherence to protocols, and effective communication with both patients and clinical staff.
Is a role model for the Hospital's Patient Satisfaction effort, i.e. demonstrates AIDET principles when interacting with customers, subordinates and colleagues.
Responsible for assuring safe equipment operation before attempting any radiology procedure.
Troubleshoots equipment, reports all equipment downtime and malfunctions to the shift supervisor and cooperates with service personnel for repair.
Protects patient and self from injury during patient transportation and during the procedure: Always places patient in proper body alignment.
