Rehab Without Walls is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our innovative Home & Community based Neuro rehabilitation Program in San Francisco, CA.
This full-time role offers the opportunity to serve as a primary therapist, guiding patients from evaluation through discharge while delivering care in the environments where real life unfolds.
Our model moves beyond the clinic walls by bringing rehabilitation into homes, workplaces, schools, and community spaces to drive meaningful, functional outcomes.
Who We’re Looking For: An experienced SLP eager to own the full episode of care as the primary therapist from evaluation through discharge.
Comfortable managing a 40-hour salaried caseload, typically 5–7 patients per week (most frequently 5 patients receiving 6 hours of treatment each).
Passionate about functional, real-world rehabilitation, treating patients in their everyday environments.
Ready to move beyond staged therapy settings by supporting clients in real-life activities such as managing their own prescriptions, participating in yoga or light hiking, returning to driving, and successfully transitioning back to work.
A clinician who thrives with autonomy and values collaboration within a dynamic, interdisciplinary team.
What you will do: Responsibilities listed include but not limited to: Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans of patients with speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources Communicate patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family members Communicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes
What you will need: Minimum of a Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program Valid Speech Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice Current CPR Certification A minimum of one year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury preferred Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions Ability to lift 50 pounds Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures Duties require fine motor skills,visual acuity, and walking/ standing for extended periods Additional physical requirements include:pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times A health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, depending on specific location policy, local and state regulations to verify employee is physically capable of performing assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodations About our Line of Business Rehab Without Walls, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is a revolutionary neurorehabilitation program that moves individuals outside the walls of institutional settings and into their natural home and community environment through a continuum of care.
