The Lab Technician performs a variety of laboratory and phlebotomy functions to support high-quality patient care. This role is responsible for conducting laboratory testing, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Adhere to laboratory standards, policies, and procedures to ensure patient safety and operational excellence. Perform laboratory testing, proficiency testing, and quality control assessments in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements. Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment as directed. Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary collection techniques. Accurately process and document specimens and test results. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment. Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to support exceptional patient care. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent. Current CPR/BLS certification upon hire. Previous experience as a phlebotomist, laboratory technician, or equivalent healthcare experience. Preferred Completion of an approved phlebotomy training program or equivalent education and training.
