Responsibilities

Assesses and monitors patient needs across all age groups. Develops, implements, and updates individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team. Provides nursing care in accordance with standards and care plans. Coordinates discharge planning, education, and referrals. Documents care accurately and communicates to ensure continuity of care. Supports unit operations, professional activities, and resource utilization. Maintains safety, follows policies, and promotes a positive patient experience. Uses electronic systems for documentation and collaborates across departments. Cross-trains and floats to Acute Care as needed.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred. Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required.

Licensure

  • Current RN Licensure in State of Iowa or applicable compact state.
  • Must be licensed in state of residence
  • Experience:
  • Must have inpatient pediatrics experience
  • Certification/Courses: CPR, PALS, NRP and 2 hour annual stroke education required.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a current RN license in Iowa or a compact state and possess inpatient pediatrics experience. An Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing is required, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred, alongside certifications in CPR, PALS, and NRP.
