About the role

The Pharmacy Program Specialist supports pharmacy services by preparing sterile compounds using aseptic techniques and managing medication inventory. They are also responsible for maintaining automated dispensing machines and processing specialty orders to ensure patient-focused care.
Support and assist in the coordination of Pharmacy Services activities including preparation of sterile compounds both hazardous and non-hazardous using aseptic technique, compounding pharmacy maintenance and scheduled cleanings, inventory management of drugs and infusion supplies, ordering, stocking and receiving of medications and supplies, processes specialty orders, and maintains and stocks automated dispensing machine (ADM) where applicable.

Required qualifications
H.S. Diploma or GED.
Upon hire: Washington Pharmacy Technician License.
3 years Minimum of 3 years (> 6240 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system or sterile compounding experience and PTCB certification, OR
4 years (> 8320 hours) experience if technician does not have PTCB certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework/Training: Pharmacy technician program (may be required in some states for pharmacy technicians).
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and a Washington Pharmacy Technician License. A minimum of 3 to 4 years of pharmacy practice experience in an integrated health system or sterile compounding is required.
