Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid NYS Driver License with at least 1 year of driving experience.
  • Previous experience as a Caregiver, Direct Care Worker, Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide, or Companion is advantageous.
  • Preferred experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to operate agency vehicles.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Evening and weekend shifts are preferred.
  • Smartphone required.

Paid Time Off

Up to 80 hours of vacation during the first calendar year of employment. Employees accrue an additional 8 vacation hours each subsequent calendar year, up to a maximum of 120 hours.

Up to 40 hours of personal time per calendar year.

10 paid holidays.

As a non-profit organization, we offer employees the opportunity to qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness. Join our team and make a positive impact in the community while benefiting from this valuable financial relief.

Part-time employees are also eligible for the 403(B)-retirement plan and New York State Sick Leave.

Pay

$20.50/hr.

What You Will Do

Support individuals to reach their personal goals, from daily tasks to personal achievements.

Provide transportation to fun activities, medical appointments, and more, ensuring individuals stay connected with their community.

Support behavioral modifications and communication improvements, helping individuals thrive in every aspect of their lives.

Work with the individuals and other members of the team to develop service plans that aid the person in achieving their life goals.

Support and promote the individual’s health and safety.

Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of service activities, including daily progress notes, interactions, and any additional information as required by agency guidelines.

Assist with personal care, social interactions, meal prep, grocery shopping, and light housekeeping.

Work Location: Port Washington, Massapequa, Glen Cove, Dix Hills and Kings Point, Malverne

Work Hours/Schedule

Full-time, Part Time, and Evening and Overnight ONLY. (2 weekend short sifts 12 hours)
