One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Special Procedure Technologist, you will be a vital clinical professional, applying specialized X-ray energy for patient diagnosis or treatment.Every day, you will meticulously perform complex radiological procedures and techniques, producing high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
You'll ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning, operating advanced equipment with precision and upholding imaging standards.To be successful in this role, you will combine strong technical expertise with exceptional attention to detail, a deep understanding of radiation safety, and a compassionate, patient-focused approach, contributing to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment.
Uses independent judgment to assess the particular circumstances of each procedure, performs a broad range of imaging procedures to produce diagnostic medical images that meet the acceptability criteria established by the Department Chairman.
Measured by no more than 3 formal complaints by radiologists using the Technologist Audit Form.
Complies with all Performance Expectations of Standard III for Radiologic Technologist 95% - 98% of time.
Positively identifies patient and correlates procedure with the physician's order.
Explains procedure to patient and responds to patient questions/concerns before beginning.
Assures written consents are completed before proceeding when required by hospital standard practice.
Job Requirements Required California State Department of Health Services certification as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).
Current California license as certifed Radiologic Technologist with Fluoroscopic permit..
Medical Radiographer: CA Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA, Preferred Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
Candidates must hold a California State Department of Health Services certification as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and a Fluoroscopic permit. Additionally, a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
