Sierra Animal Wellness Center is looking for a passionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team in Colfax, CA. Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the attending veterinarian Collect and process laboratory samples including blood, urine, and tissue specimens Monitor and care for patients under anesthesia and during post-operative recovery Perform dental cleanings, radiographs, and other technical procedures Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding care plans, medications, and preventive health Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation in practice management software Ensure a clean, safe, and well-stocked clinical environment

Requirements

Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in the state of California Experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital setting preferred Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, dental prophys, dental xrays, and anesthesia monitoring Strong knowledge of pharmacology, surgical prep, and laboratory diagnostics Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, client-friendly demeanor Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced clinical environment Comfortable handling animals of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments About Us: Sierra Animal Wellness Center is a trusted veterinary practice serving the Colfax, CA community and the surrounding Sierra foothills region.
