The Dialysis Registered Nurse maintains the delivery of quality care by following nursing care plans and collaborating with physicians on treatment plans. They are responsible for performing hemodialysis, interpreting assessment data, and providing education to patients and their families.
Using independent and interdependent judgment, the Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. In collaboration with the physician, the Dialysis RN assures implementation of the assessment plan, evaluation, and follow-up of the plan of care for the patient population. Initiating an on-going systematic assessment of patients. Providing nursing care to meet the needs of the hemodialysis patient. Interpreting assessment data and information. Collaborating with providers regarding the dialysis treatment plan. Performing hemodialysis as prescribed. Teaching and counseling patients/families.
Minimum requirements: Valid temporary or permanent State Registered Nurse License. At least one (1) year of Hemodialysis experience BLS required. ACLS required within 6 months of hire. Preferred qualifications that will make you successful: Hemodialysis in the acute care setting or acute care experience Additional Data Equal Opportunity Employer/including Disabled/Veterans
Candidates must hold a valid temporary or permanent State Registered Nurse License and have at least one year of hemodialysis experience. A BLS certification is required, and ACLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
