Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Medical Assistant, you'll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team.

Every day, you will take the lead on proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility.

You can expect to have multiple patients daily depending on the number of physicians are on-site.

Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others, work efficiently, and your empathy for our patients.

Greets and prepares patients for practitioner visit; obtains and records vital signs and other appropriate information such as height, weight, drug allergies, current medications and presenting problems; Positions, drapes and cleans up after examinations under Provider supervision; provides patient mobility assistance as necessary.

Performs basic lab and phlebotomy procedures, draws blood and performs EKG’s and laboratory procedures, administers approved medications via oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular or intradermal routes, informs patients of lab results, and mails reports to patients, under the supervision of provider.

May “pend” orders which include laboratory testing and radiology studies for provider sign-off.

Documents, in the electronic medical record, medical visits/procedures performed by healthcare providers in accordance with established procedures.

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid Washington State Medical Assistant Certification. Additionally, a Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification and a valid Washington State driver's license are required upon hire.
