Disability Services Program Specialist
The Program Specialist coordinates resources and medical services to empower individuals with special needs to live independently. They are responsible for developing and implementing care plans while ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the individuals served.
Lifesteps is seeking a Disability Services Program Specialist. This full-time position based in Butler, PA works a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. (No evenings, weekends or holidays)

The Program Specialist creates an environment empowering individuals through the development of skills, coordination of resources, and supportive services to help individuals live as independently as possible. The Program Specialist ensures special needs adult individuals have regularly scheduled medical, dental, psychiatric, and psychological services in accordance with regulations and doctor recommendations.
The Program Specialist is responsible for ensuring the health, safety and well-being of persons with intellectual disabilities by assisting in the development and implementation of appropriate plans for their care and development. (i.e. Individual Plans (IP), Restrictive Procedure Plans, Social Emotional Environmental Plans, Fade Plans and Desensitization Plans.)
This position is a combination of both hands-on work with individuals and administrative duties. It is not a supervisory position but is a highly respected team member.
