Bulger Veterinary Hospital is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician, Emergency to join our Emergency & Critical Care team in Lawrence, Massachusetts. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Veterinary Technician looking to grow ER and ICU skills while working in a collaborative specialty hospital environment.
As an Emergency Veterinary Technician at Bulger, you’ll work alongside experienced veterinarians, specialists, and technicians while supporting advanced patient care and making a direct impact every shift.
As an Emergency & Critical Care Veterinary Technician, you will: Triage emergency patients and support the intake process Guide clients through their pet’s treatment and care plan Collaborate closely with DVMs on diagnostics, treatments, and procedures Perform anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery care Place IV catheters and collect laboratory samples Assist with radiographs, imaging, surgeries, and emergency procedures Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes in condition Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation Deliver exceptional patient care and client service in a fast-paced emergency setting
3+ years of experience in a veterinary clinical setting required CVT, LVT, or RVT preferred, but not required Strong anesthesia and patient monitoring skills Emergency or critical care experience preferred Confidence with catheter placement, laboratory work, and technical nursing skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented hospital environment Strong communication skills and commitment to exceptional patient care Fluent English speaking and reading skills required About Bulger Veterinary Hospital Bulger Veterinary Hospital is a multi-specialty and emergency veterinary hospital serving pets and families throughout Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire.
