As a DSP/Personal Attendant, you will provide individualized support to adults with developmental disabilities receiving Supported Living Services.

The primary focus of this role is the active supervision of individuals to ensure their health and safety, while providing occasional hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) for individuals with complex needs.

You will provide incidental behavioral prevention and intervention support, operate with increased independence, and be responsible for maintaining service quality and helping ensure a stable living environment. \n

Your Impact in Action Provide consistent, person-centered supervision within the individual’s home and community.

Supervise and provide occasional hands-on support for Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including: Bathing, toileting, dressing, and personal hygiene Preparing meals and feeding Light housekeeping and laundry Supervise medication administration when needed.

Accompany and/or transport the individual to medical and personal appointments.

Implement established Behavior Support Plans (BSP) to prevent and de-escalate outbursts or mental health symptoms.

Apply crisis prevention and intervention techniques (e.g., Safety-Care or CPI) during severe episodes to ensure immediate safety.

Observe and report changes in health, behavior, and/or environments to the supervisor.

Complete daily logs and progress notes in compliance with DDS, Regional Center, and agency standards.

Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and other activities as needed.

Your Readiness to Serve 2–3 years of experience providing direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Prior experience working with individuals with complex behavioral or mental health needs is preferred.

Requirements

Requires 2-3 years of experience in direct support for individuals with developmental disabilities and proficiency in behavioral support plans. Candidates must possess a valid CPR/First Aid certification and a valid California driver's license.

Our Commitment to You Pay range

$26.00 – $29.00 per hour, paid weekly. This represents the anticipated hourly range for our Direct Support Positions. Actual compensation will depend on position, experience, qualifications, and program assignment. We strive to work around your schedule - full-time and part-time positions available. We cover the essentials, including healthcare benefits, paid sick leave and mileage and cell reimbursement. We promote from within and offer opportunities for training and development.
