Boone Memorial Health is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at the BMH Nellis Clinic. Competitive pay Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan with employer contributions Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid volunteer hours Employee wellness program Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities Welcome and assist patients with professionalism and compassion Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments Assist providers during examinations and minor office procedures Perform blood draws and collect laboratory specimens Conduct waived laboratory testing Perform EKGs Administer medications and immunizations (IM, ID, and SQ) as directed by a licensed provider Apply sterile dressings and provide basic patient care Monitor and follow up on laboratory and diagnostic test results Recognize medical emergencies and provide First Aid when necessary Process prescription refill requests Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Administrative Responsibilities Register patients and update demographic and insurance information Schedule appointments, procedures, and diagnostic testing Order laboratory testing Complete insurance forms and assist with billing processes Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Manage medical supplies and clinic inventory Communicate with insurance companies and outside providers Follow up with patients regarding appointments, referrals, and test results Perform additional clerical and administrative duties as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program Current Medical Assistant Certification Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire Previous experience in a medical office or outpatient clinic At least one year of experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system Skills We're looking for someone who has: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A strong commitment to exceptional customer service Outstanding organizational and time management skills Attention to detail and accuracy The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Why You'll Love Working Here At Boone Memorial Health, our employees are more than team members—they're family. Requirements

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program. A current Medical Assistant Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required, along with at least one year of experience using an EMR system.
