Unit Description: 2B ICU is a 19-bed neuro ICU. Serving CVA, neurosurgical, carotid surgery and carotid stent patients. This unit supports our comprehensive stroke program if the patient needs critical care placement. In addition, the unit cares for surgical post-op, cardiac interventions, sepsis, general surgery and complex care ICU patients.
Shift: Part-Time, Nights
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member Provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursing procedures Performs routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients. Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification required or successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation consistent with level of education. Must provide a letter from their school verifying the completion of their first year clinicals. Basic life support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don’t have it already.
