About the Role

Minimum Qualifications
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program.
- Completion of state-mandated background checks and health screenings.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient care procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Physical capability to perform patient care tasks, including lifting and moving patients as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a healthcare setting such as a hospital, nursing home, or assisted living facility.
- Additional certifications such as CPR and First Aid.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual language skills to support diverse patient populations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a positive and respectful environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and healthcare equipment according to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare team members to implement individualized care plans and ensure continuity of care.
