Licensed Practical Nurse
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including medication administration and monitoring patient conditions. What does the Nurse do? (including but not limited to)
As a Nurse, you are responsible for providing basic patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including taking vital signs, administering medications, preparing patients for exams, collecting specimens, assisting with procedures, educating patients on self-care, and documenting patient information thoroughly; all while maintaining clear communication with the healthcare team and patients.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing school and hold an active Licensed Practical Nurse license in Louisiana. A minimum of one year of experience in behavioral health care is preferred, along with Basic Life Support and non-violent crisis intervention certifications.
