The Physical Therapist (PT) in the acute care hospital setting is responsible for the evaluation and assessment of strength and mobility deficits, effective and efficient delivery of rehabilitation services under an established plan of care, and timely documentation of services. The PT consults with other members of their patients’ medical teams and collaborates with the patient and/or their support system to promote the highest level of safety and independence.

Candidates must hold a qualifying degree in Physical Therapy and a valid, unencumbered license in the state of practice. At least one year of clinical experience in an acute care setting and current CPR certification are required.
