The Registered Nurse performs comprehensive patient health assessments and formulates individualized plans of care to support patients across Women's Services units. They also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, advocate for patient rights, and act as a clinical resource and mentor to other staff members.
Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Labor & Delivery Float Pool team.
You will have the opportunity to support a variety of specialized Women's Services units across the hospital including Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, High Risk Perinatal and the Antenatal Testing Center.

Candidates must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Virginia and possess at least one year of clinical experience. A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing is required, with specific requirements for BSN completion for those holding an Associate's degree.
Certification: Basic Life Support; If Critical Care unit, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support upon start; If Pediatric unit, Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire Licensure: Licensed Registered Nurse or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license Experience: 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse; if Critical Care Unit, minimum 1 year clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship Education: Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Associate's Degree; If RN has an Associate's Degree, within 2 years of date of hire, they must meet with their nurse leader and conduct the following: 1) Identify which accredited school they plan to attend, 2) Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion date, 3) Submit a review of transcripts from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses, and 4) Complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
Preferred Qualifications: 2 years of experience in L&D is preferred
