About the role

The pharmacist will coordinate pharmaceutical care, manage drug therapy protocols, and collaborate with the interprofessional team to ensure safe medication use. How you’ll contribute

A Pharmacist who excels in this role

Coordinate and provide pharmaceutical care for patients, collaborating with the interprofessional team to optimize safe, effective medication use.

Review and verify orders, manage drug therapy protocols, educate staff/patients, and supports quality and regulatory standards.

Manage drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Review, interpret, and evaluate medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve drug-related problems.

Complete medication reconciliation.

Provide drug information and education to new pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and pharmacy students.

Document interventions and outcomes for drug therapy quality improvement.

Verify medication orders for accuracy/completeness prior to entry.

Check filled medications prepared by technicians.

Maintain proficiency with pharmacy automated systems and software.

Sterile and non-sterile compounding including chemotherapy compounding.

Participate in performance improvement and required continuing education.

Supervise pharmacy technicians.

What we’re looking for Applicants should have Doctor of Pharmacy. Additional requirements include:

Current license with the state Board of Pharmacy.

BCLS required.

ACLS preferred.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and possess a current license with the state Board of Pharmacy. Additionally, BCLS certification is required, while ACLS certification is preferred.
