Dental Assistant - Griffin

The dental assistant provides chair-side support to the dentist during examinations and treatments while managing patient records and appointments. They are also responsible for maintaining clinical cleanliness, ordering supplies, and ensuring all patient data is accurately entered into the electronic system.
Reports to the Director of Nursing. Assists Dentist in the delivery of Dental Services. Performs clerical duties relative to patient appointment records. Provides chair side assistance in the examination and treatment of dental patients.
Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant Program. Six months to one-year experience as a Dental Assistant in a public or private setting preferred.
Requires the use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reaches with hands and arms; frequently required to stand walk, sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally lifts and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally expose to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
